You can Imagine it! You can Build it!Β

Hello my friends! Today, I was thinking how much I love tree houses.  When I was growing up, my four brothers were always building some kind of tree house. I remember one tree house they built, it was based off of the Star Track Enterprise which included Captain Kirk’s chair and a big window looking out to the stars. Our father work for a Lumber Company, so they always had wood to build with. So, I decided today to build a tree house. ‘You can Imagine it! You can Build It!’

I used Lindy’s Sprays Merry-go-round green, T-bird Turquoise, and Yellow Rose of Texas with white acrylic paint. All three are my favorite colors and I love the way they blend together.

On this side I used Martha Stewart’s Ocean stencil with Finnabair white crackle Paste, sea shells, cheese cloth, Prima roses, and pearls.

On the backside I used white string, a wooden picket fence, cheese cloth, and white pearls.

On this sided I decided to use sea shells on the roof with Prima roses, and pearls.

To finished it up, I used Finnabair Opal Magical Wax in Vintage Silk and White Gold. Thank you for checking out my blog. 😊

My Mixed Media ArtistΒ

I love when my grandson comes into my studio and says “grandma let’s get creative”, with that big smile on his face. πŸ˜ƒ So I always let him pick out everything he wants to used and he goes for it. πŸ˜‰ It’s pretty awesome to have a little guy who loves to be creative and especially when he cleans up his own mess.πŸ˜‰

DWM Paints Turquoise, Ocean and j. Davenport pink paint. Also used white and black.

Keys To My Heart

Hello my friends, today I decided to create two canvas pieces-each holding a key. May is always been a hard month for me. My Mother passed away 11 years ago on May 16th and now my beautiful Auntie passed away on May 22, 2017 and  I haven’t been in my studio sense. Each key has a meaning for me. The canvas piece with the big key means my Mother will always have the key to my heart. And the second canvas with the key and butterfly means my Auntie is flying free. Always and Forever with Love….

Creating beautiful art makes me feel happy and loving life…In these two cards I used four different textures on the background…

Mixed Media Paint BrushesΒ

I took a couple of old Paint Brushes and created beauty. Used white Gesso, Lindy’s Sprays; tilt-a-wheel teal, sassy shapphire, jack in the pulpit teal and Prima Spray; soft teal. I mixed Prima Memory Hardware Clay in a water bottle then spray, which gave the brushes a antique look.

I used Dylusion Stenicl and Empbossing Paste to create texture, Prima floral embellishment, Stampin Up scalloped tulle ribbon and Art Glitter Gala Glitz-Brown.

Then finished off with a hummingbird, heart to heart, friends Metal embellishments, splattered white paint over and used Prima Opal Magic Wax turquoise satin.
