Working on Backgrounds with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide

Hello my friends! Today I decided to start working on my background for my Christmas cards. Using Tim Holtz distress oxide, which are one of my favorite products to use. I wanted to keep it simple but yet pretty. I did four backgrounds using Strathmore Mixed Media paper vellum surface 6 in. x 8 in. and two different paste. I figured I can get eight cards out of my backgrounds. I’ll list what I used bellow.

Here I blended Tim Holtz Distress Oxide broken china, mermaid lagoon and chipped sapphire. Then add water drops and pat dry with a paper towel.

Here I used Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Stencil with Faber Castell Whipped Spackle paste. Let dry for 30 minutes.

Then took the snowflake Stencil again with Tim Holtz Distress Ink picket fence blended it into the background.

Here I used the second paste by Faber Castell called Glass Bead Glitter Gel, which gave it a pretty look. I’m loving the way the backgrounds look.

Thank you for checking out my blog. I’ll be posting my cards soon. And I would like to say “Thank you Veterans” to my family, friends and all for your service. We our truly blessed to have freedom in our lives.
